Tips for Keeping a Peace of Mind Amid COVID-19

12 October 2022

Filling your news feed with positivity and sending along some tips for keeping a peace of mind during these trying times. Now that we’re living in somewhat of a surreal new normal with the COVID-19 outbreak, it’s important to keep your mind and body strong, and do things to help you manage the way you cope with stress. Your mental health is just as important as your physical, so take a moment, take a breath, and hang in there. We’ll get through this together.

1. Self-Care

Practicing good self-care is key to helping you maintain your physical and emotional health during stressful times. Especially now while working from home, eat a balanced diet, get plenty of sleep, exercise and engage in some kind of leisure activity. All can boost your immunity and bring comfort and a sense of stability.

2. Keep Busy

Maintain a routine that will keep you busy, keep you motivated, and help you stay on track. Whether it’s a work schedule or a daily exercise session, try to keep up with the set of activities you are used to doing normally. This structure can help you adjust to your new home life and make you feel more accomplished.

3. Connect

While we find creative new ways to engage while #socialdistancing, don’t lose sight of your existing connections. Call or video chat with your friends, family and colleagues, and keep the positivity going! The beauty of technology allows us to be together with our loved ones, even though we may be physically apart.

4. Be Mindful

It’s important to be aware of the situation, but don’t immerse yourself in anxiety-provoking press coverage. Limit your media consumption daily, and rely on reputable sources, like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), for new updates. We also recommend staying connected with positive social media accounts, like our Instagram feed, to cheer up your mood. Or, check out our 2020 Spring Collection to get you excited for the change of season. Remember, with spring comes the hope of new beginnings!

Also, don’t forget that we’re going through this together as a global community. Have compassion and be mindful of those at higher risk, maintain good hygiene practices and share resources.
