At Rosaprima, we are passionate about partnering with visionary floral artists who share our dedication to excellence, beauty and innovation. In this exclusive feature, we are delighted to spotlight our collaboration with Katya Hutter, a celebrated floral designer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Known for her lush, nature-inspired arrangements and refined artistic sensibility, Katya brings a fresh perspective to luxury floral design. Her discerning eye and deep appreciation for exceptional blooms led her to Rosaprima's Veggie rose—a bold, green-hued variety that redefines elegance and modernity in wedding florals.
Together, we explore Katya's creative process, her insights into high-end wedding trends, and how Rosaprima's roses—crafted with precision and care—play a vital role in bringing her visionary designs to life.
What drew you specifically to Rosaprima's Veggie green color in your palette?
KH: I love working with refined color palettes where each hue is carefully chosen and combined. I'm also known for my work with roses. Veggie is a new variety that I first discovered at IFTF last year, and it immediately stood out as something truly different. Green is a trendy color this season, and when my clients came to me with a green palette for their July wedding at the luxury Dutch estate Parc Broekhuizen, I immediately thought of this unique rose.
What was your experience with Rosaprima's consistency in color and quality for the Veggie roses?
KH: I often work with Ecuadorian roses in general, and their quality is usually very high. But Rosaprima roses are truly exceptional; their heads are large, the vase life is excellent, and the colors are very stable. It's always a special moment to order and unpack these roses. Your curated selection of hues, shapes, and varieties is amazing. Browsing your website to select roses for my events is always a pleasure.
What's your take on the innovation in having unique colors and varieties, such as Veggie? How important are these specialty varieties for high-end wedding work?
KH: In high-end wedding work, innovation and novelty play a key role. We strive to surprise our clients, delivering the highest-quality designs with unique, bespoke concepts, the finest flowers, and exceptional craftsmanship. Unique hues, shapes, and varieties of roses elevate the floral experience to the level of true luxury. I often compare specialty roses like Veggie to couture fabrics: they have an unusual shape, fringed texture, and an impressive look. I truly loved working with them.
Beyond the roses you used for wedding work, are there other varieties in Rosaprima's collection that pair exceptionally well with current wedding trends?
KH: In spring, I love working with ranunculus and anemones. I remember one client asking me to design a wedding with white anemones with black centers, which were not available in the Netherlands during July. We managed to source them from Ecuador, and my client was absolutely over the moon. I believe both of these flower varieties are part of your collection, and they offer endless possibilities for creating trendy color palettes and styles.
When executing a wedding or big event, how important is having reliable vendor partnerships that deliver consistent, uncompromising quality throughout your entire design?
KH: It's absolutely crucial. I always try to build strong relationships with my flower suppliers and farms because I believe in teamwork. Great results are only possible when every part of the chain works smoothly. A large-scale production demands professionalism from everyone involved; we all contribute to the same project, not just our individual tasks. My luxury floral designs look stunning because I source the best flowers from the best growers and work with the most reliable teams and suppliers on the market. I'm proud of my collaboration with Rosaprima and look forward with confidence to the new 2026 season.
