2023 Valentine's Day

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the Society of American Florists (SAF) has deemed Valentine's Day as one of the most important dates in the flower industry and also their highest-grossing holiday. At Rosaprima, we understand how important Valentine's Day is for florists and the flower industry. That's why we have been working hard since October to ensure that our fields are prepared to grow the most beautiful roses for this special day. This 2023 Valentine's Day is expected to be one of the best yet in terms of demand, and we are looking forward to making it truly memorable with the stunning blooms we have carefully cultivated.

As confirmed by Florist Review, the National Retail Federation (NRF) reports that personal spending in 2022 was $175.41 per person - a noteworthy 6.5% increase from last year's figure of $164.76. We anticipate this Valentine's Day will be an extraordinary triumph for Rosaprima and the floral sector as a whole due to these encouraging figures.

Juan Martin Gomez, our COO, gives us an insightful look into the preparation for Valentine's Day. Freedom and red roses are the most highly sought-after roses during this season, and achieving their beautiful cutting stage requires a meticulous process that takes around 90 days. Our talented craftsmen at Rosaprima inspect each petal of every rose daily to ensure they reach the perfect cutting stage of 2.5 before they are sent to post-harvest. This is all done to guarantee we deliver you nothing but the best luxury roses in the world.

Our mission is to provide you with an exclusive glimpse into the intricate and luxurious process behind crafting the world's finest roses. We want to make sure our customers can experience a premium quality product, every time.

Ecuador’s Weather and the Making of Premium Quality Bouquets

Drawing upon over two and a half decades of industry experience, Rosaprima has refined the art of crafting exquisite roses for Valentine's Day. In Ecuador, weather can be unpredictable, but we are prepared and vigilant for any changes that may arise. While November was filled with glorious sunshine this year, yet January began to shower us with rain. To prepare for this season, we focus on cleaning the beds from any leaves or potential contaminants that could affect the health of each plant. Additionally, we fumigate once or twice a week to ensure optimal conditions.

Sustainable Practices for Crafting Luxurious Roses

Our primary goal is to be sustainable, so we employ a cable zipline system to reduce water consumption. Since 2013, we've been certified by the Rainforest Alliance and are constantly striving to improve our processes in order to promote sustainability. Every year, we come up with new initiatives that will help us reach this goal.

We understand the importance of being environmentally conscious and responsible for the planet's well-being; therefore, we are committed to finding ways to better conserve resources like water and reduce our environmental footprint.
