IBERIA AIRLINER SKIDS OFF THE RUNWAY NOV

On Friday November 9, a large Airbus passenger plane belonging to Spanish airline Iberia skid off the runway. It is still unclear whether this happened due to the slippery runway under heavy rain, or a malfunction of the landing gear. Luckily enough, all passengers were able to disembark safely. However, due to the magnitude of the damage, the plane needs special machinery to be towed and as a result of this, traffic has been somewhat disrupted at the Quito airport.
